A new branch was established in Uruguay!

I.K.O.N. Web

A new branch was born in a South American nation, Uruguay. Sensei Walter Urruzola, who has abundant experience in dojo operations, was appointed branch chief. Honbu received an application from Sensei Walter in December 2024 and has gone through the application procedure since. I.K.O.N., which aims to grow by accepting quality members, takes heavily on their technical levels of Karate and communication styles that should match its standards. Sensei Waler’s communication skills were proven to be high through three-month-long message exchanges with Honbu staff. His technical level matched our standards when showing his Karate at the I.K.O.N. Chilean Summer Camp in January. His willingness to attend the camp was admirably taken as his humbleness by many of the camp instructors and participants. As a result, the branch chief contract was signed in late February and the birth of the fourth branch in South America merged. We would like to welcome Sensei Walter Urruzola and his members in Uruguay who are promising to provide I.K.O.N. South America with drive and support for its further development.
