Black Belt Exam
The black belt exam will be conducted on December 11 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. A venue will be announced later.
Who can take this exam?
The exam is open to IKO Nakamura members who currently hold 2 Dan or higher.
The exam is also open to IKO Nakamura members who currently hold 1st Kyu or higher if their representative is a Honbu Direct Dojo Operator (HDDO). HDDOs are not authorized to hold a Dan exam within their country. Hence, their 1st kyu and Shodan members are allowed to take this exam.

The exam will be strictly conducted according to the I.K.O.N. standard. Each year, many members take this exam but end up failing due to the lack of knowledge about Ido Geiko and Kata.
Many of them appear to show up not knowing what expectations and requirements are. As a branch representative, you are responsible for your member's performances. Please inform them of the requirements to help them prepare for the exam. Click the link below to learn about the Ido Geiko
